CHS BETA Takes Nationals

Brings Home National Title

Four members of the Clinton High School Beta Club qualified for and attended the National Beta Convention June 27-30, 2016 held in New Orleans, Louisiana. The students were Martin Quintero, Anna Knoerr, Savannah Lynch, and Lucas Potts. Martin qualified for Nationals after placing third at State Convention competition in Spanish Division I. Anna took home second place at State Convention in the Creative Writing division to gain her spot in the national competition. Lucas competed in Social Studies Division I at State and placed third. Savannah placed second in the State Officer’s Award, winning for her essay over the service project centered around “Operation Adopt a Unit”, a project carried out by the CHS Beta Club where supplies were sent overseas to servicemen, women, and even  service dogs. They put their skills to the test at the National Convention, all representing Clinton High very well. Martin Quintero placed fifth in the nation in Spanish Division I and brought home a National title, the first Beta National Title in school history.  These students embody what Beta Club is all about : Service, Leadership, and Achievement.  They are looking forward to another successful and exciting year.
