The Clinton Lady Yellowjackets represented our town very well in the district tournament. The first game, the Lady Jackets won and punched their ticket to regionals. The girls made it all the way to the championship, sadly losing to the Melbourne Lady Bearkatz 3-2, winning runner-up. The girls practiced hard for the regional tournament the following week, getting ready to take on Hoxie in the first round of the regional tournament. During the 3rd inning, an accident occurred,, causing Brittany Shannon to injure her foot. Natalie Alexander filled her spot at second base. This was the first game that Natalie was able to play in because of her broken collar bone. The game was a very close game going back and forth between both teams. In the bottom of the 7th, the Lady Jackets were up 5-6 until Hoxie had a very good inning, running in 2 runs and winning the game. The seniors Kaitlin Kirkendoll, Brittany Shannon, and Tori Bradford all had a very good season. Kaitlin and Tori both received All Conference and both were invited to the All Star game this summer. Tori Bradford also received All State. The season maybe over, but the girls will hold onto the memories forever!
