It’s that time of year again, the annual Clinton vs. Heber Springs week one rivalry game. This is the one that opens the school year and sets the tone for the rest of the football season. It’s going to be a great game. The student section will be roarin’, showing their school pride with the theme of gold-blooded. It will be a packed stadium on both sides of the field. The football team has practiced and played hard all summer, working to get in shape to come back better than ever. Clinton has fallen short of the task the last two years against the Panthers and are looking for that proverbial “third time’s the charm”.

A pep rally will be held on Friday, following a short bell schedule with the assembly starting around 2:30 in the Yellowjacket Arena. Starting at 5:30, there will be a tailgating party with grilling, refreshments, and Principal Evans will have the Kona Shaved Ice stand in the mall area prior to the big game (weather permitting).

It’s going to be a great Friday night under the lights at Jim Tumblison Field filled with rivalry, fun, and football. So come out and support your Senior High Yellowjackets this Friday night at 7pm. It’s a night the entire community looks forward to every year. Don’t miss out and make sure to wear gold!
