Lady Jacket Basketball Update

The Clinton Lady Jackets had a busy week heading into Christmas break with a total of four games. Kaitlin Kirkendoll, a key starter, was unable to compete this past week due to medical reasons. This definitely hurt the team when it came to close match-ups. Tuesday, December 12th, the girls went head to head against the Shirley Blue Devils in a non-conference game and won 64-47. Thursday, December 14th, the girls hit the road to take a conference win over Atkins 50-21. The Lady Jackets competed in the Pangburn Classic Friday and Saturday. They faced Riverside a 3A team who beat Hoxie, defending state champions, by around 15 this year. The Lady Jackets faced a tough loss against Riverside with the final score being 34-67. Saturday, the girls had an early game on the road at 11:15 facing Pangburn at their place. Down two players, Kaitlin Kirkendoll and Kacen Kilcrease, the girls faced another tough loss 38-49. Tuesday, December 19th, the Lady Jackets will face Perryville for the second time this year. They played Perryville in St. Joseph Classic championship and won a nailbiter 51-48. Still missing a main scorer, Kaitlin Kirkendoll, this will be a game to watch.
