Beta Fundraisers

Gabby Helton, Writer

The CHS Beta Club kicked off the school year with a big fundraiser. Starting week one we sold Fall mums.  We were able to sell 320 mums.  We have co-hosted the homecoming dance as well as selling homecoming shirts.  Beta has also sold Yankee Candles for the 3rd year.  It is now the 12th week of school and we are still fundraising. The Beta members work hard fundraising all year to pay for their Beta convention in January. The members will travel to Hot Springs, Arkansas and compete in a variety of different academic competitions as well as theatre/drama competitions.

The current fundraiser the Beta members are doing is Fresh Country. This fundraiser sells all kinds of desserts including 8 different types of cookie dough, pumpkin rolls, red velvet rolls, cinnamon rolls, peach cobbler, and pecan cobbler. All desserts are $16. In addition to the desserts, the fundraiser also sells 5 different types of fruits, cheese, ham, and turkey. Fruits range from $20-$27, cheese is $23, hams range from $29-$31, and the turkey is $31. If you or anybody that you know is interested in buying from the Fresh Country fundraiser please find a current Beta member or the Beta sponsor, Mrs. Hutchins. We will begin our Poinsettia fundraiser next week.
