Red Ribbon Week at CHS

This week is nationally known as Red Ribbon Week. It is a week about drug and alcohol prevention and awareness. To raise awareness, the high school has participated in the following activities:

  • Monday- Proud to be Drug Free – Wear Red
  • Monday, October 23rd – Countywide Red Ribbon Rally for grades 9-12 @ SSBB auditorium
  • Tuesday-Stomp Out Drugs – Wear Boots
  • Tuesday – Guest Speaker – CHS Auditorium – 2:10 – 3:10pm
  • Wednesday – Team up against drugs – Wear Favorite Team Jersey
  • Thursday – Drugs are Old School – Decades Day or Hippie
  • Friday – Black and Gold – Be Bold
  • Viewing of “Chasing Dragons”  Documentary and Discussion with Brian Henderson – CHS Auditorium 9:00-10:45am
  • **Each student that participates in dress-up may enter their name (1st period) for daily door prizes, TBA at the end of 7th period**
  • Teachers:  Door Decorating Contest – Hero Theme – 5th period classes will decorate classroom doors.  
  • 1st place-pizza party for your advisory class and 2nd place- taco party for your advisory class
