CHS Volleyball Defeats Marshall

The Clinton Lady Yellowjackets Volleyball team took on the Marshall Lady Bobcats on Tuesday. Both the Varsity and JV teams came out with the win. Our senior captain, Baylee Breedlove, led our team with fantastic serves, wonderful sets, and a great attitude. Hannah Burnett, senior, provided our setter with some great passes while being a great example to her fellow teammates. Emily Kirk, junior, finished off the game with a 14-0 serving record. Gabby Helton, junior, had several unstoppable kills and blocks. Danielle Teague, sophomore, really stepped up with some very consistent and hard kills that no one could get to. Courtney Webb, sophomore, was always there to cover the hitters and dig up several of Marshall’s hits. Priscilla Martinez, sophomore, did a fantastic job on back row and never let a ball hit the ground. The girls finished the game with a 91% serving record and 80% hitting record. None of this could have been possible without their wonderful coaches, Mr. and Mrs. Coach Wilson. Through all the hard work, sweat, and sometimes even tears, their coaches are always their to be supportive and positive. The girls could not ask for any better coaches!
