Recently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have declared their part-time independence from the royal family. On January 8, the couple announced on Instagram that they plan to “relinquish their positions” as senior members of the family and split their time between the UK and Canada as well as establish their financial independence. Although the Buckingham Palace was unprepared, the big decision wasn’t a surprise due to the racist and sexist comments Meghan has been dealing with since her initial involvement with Prince Harry. Since then, Queen Elizabeth is fully supportive of their decision, but she would prefer them to stay full-members of the royal family.
