Jacket+Baseball+Heads+into+Postseason

The talk is definitely getting louder after the CHS Baseball team ended the regular season with an exclamation point. They traveled to Harrison last night to face the 5A Goblins. The talented Yellowjackets came out hot and scored 5 runs in the first inning and went on to win the game 25-0, the Yellowjackets had 23 hits total in the game compared to the gobbins 1 bunt that was scored an infield hit. The long ball was working for the Yellowjackets, as the season leader in homeruns for the Yellow jackets Avery Bramlett added another home run to his season total, the Junior Ty Johnson added a two strike bomb on a hanging curveball that skied the scoreboard, then young untried pinch hitter Keaton Gresham left his mark on the Goblins with a grand slam in the top of the fifth. That win gave the Jackets their 22nd win of the year to finish the regular season  a stunning 22-4 record after a rough start to the season going 5-3 through their first 8 games. The Jackets then caught fire after spring break with 15 straight wins and was atop 3A standings, and even climbed high enough to reach top 15 in the overall rankings. The sky is the limit as they head into the new season, the best season, post season baseball.
