Prescott @Booneville:

This game was definitely one neither team will forget. This quarterfinals game consisted of 7 lead changes and only one turnover for the whole game. Prescott went into the locker room at halftime with a 3 point lead over #1 Booneville. The final drive of the game Prescott down by 3, on the ten yard line, throws the ball within a yard of the goal line and it was picked by athletic linebacker, Cam Brasher. Booneville lined up in victory formation the remainder of the game and won 34-31. Booneville will roll onto the finals at War Memorial this Saturday at noon.

Rison @Osceola:

Another great game that was played this past week was Rison vs. Osceola. Rison traveled from the bottom to the top of Arkansas to Osceola, located in the Jonesboro area. Rison entered the game undefeated while Osceola suffered its only loss to old conference foe, 4A competitors, and reigning 3A champs, Rivercrest. Osceola won the game by 9 points.

3A Update:

Powerhouse Booneville plays very shifty, quick Osceola at War Memorial this weekend at noon. Both programs are very rich in tradition. Booneville is only predicted by 2 points according to Hootens AR HS football rankings. If Osceola wins the 3A state title crown remains in Mississippi County in North East Arkansas. Booneville has been ranked #1 since Hootens came out in June and is a very grit team. Booneville is strong up front and has a very quick backfield on offense. Their defense is very clutch and knows how to excel in tight situations.
