Last Friday night was a moment in which the seniors played their hearts out. All four of our senior running backs and receivers had a big night. They combined for 286 of our 346 yards and all 38 of our points. The scores came from a Wyatt McCoy 22 yard rush, a Chase Cooley 25 yard scamper, two Jake Ferrell carries (one from 17 yards out and the other from 16), a Kort Weaver pass to Bryce Brawner from 12 yards out.

Johnathan Ochoa also made a perfect kick from the 31 yard line. This 3-pt field goal is the first since 2014. With that monumental kick and being a perfect 5 for 5 on point after touchdowns, Ochoa was named the FAB&T player of the game.

Clinton was on top the whole game. They never had a doubt of what the outcome would be. Clinton’s defense held Yellville to a shutout and 41 total offensive yards. The secondary had two interceptions: one by Jake Ferrell, and another by Bradley Amos. The Clinton offensive and defensive line was dominant, controlling the game up front all night.

Seniors Danny Bittle, Wyatt McCoy, DC Fulbright, Johnathan Ochoa, Gunnar Ward, Chase Cooley, Bradley Amos, and Jake Ferrell all together made 28 total tackles.

Clinton takes a big road trip to Mountain View this week for a chance of a round one playoff game at Jim Tumlinson Field. It’s going to be the Arkansas game of the week with THV11 News and Channel 16 News both being there to get highlights of the game. Everyone come out to support your Clinton Yellowjackets as they get their hardest contest handed to them this season!
