MELBOURNE, Ar — Late in the fourth quarter Melbourne cut Clinton’s lead to 8, but that would prove to be as close as they would get after their failed onside attempt. Bowman then broke a 30 yard touchdown to all but seal the game.

The Jacket defense was able to hold the high powered Bearcat offense to 26 points in 48 minutes of play. Clinton had 24 different defenders tally a tackle on the night.  The following defenders: Sky Davidson, Reuben Dawson, Cort Bagley, and Travis Williams each had a sack.

Clinton’s Sky Davidson  reached the promised land 4 times in the game for the second straight week. Davidson rushed for 128 yards on 15 carries. He had 3 rushing touchdowns, and 1 receiving. Bowman carried the ball 20 times for 123 yards and 1 touchdown.

The Jackets started off slow, making it to the redzone 3 times with no score in the first half, but were able to make a turn around and finish drives in the second half. The Jackets were on top of the Bearkatz 28-6 before the Bearkatz rallied with a touchdown and an onside kick. The Bearkatz gave the Jackets their best game as every team will be this year. The Jackets have a lot to play for and the opposing teams know it.
