Kindergarten Hosts Grandparents Day

Blake Burgess, Writer

Grandparents play a very important role for children, they are someone to go to for anything you need, they cook for you even without asking, they love you unconditionally, and they also give you very good advice since they are very wise. So why wouldn’t we have a day dedicated just to them? Grandparents Day started in 1978 by a woman named Marian McQuade. She felt like they deserved a day and she was right about it. So thanks to her we can praise them for all that they do. Clinton Elementary did just that. Kindergarten had their Grandparents Day on Tuesday, September 12. Grandparents from across the area joined their kindergarten student in the Elementary Cafeteria for refreshments and a performance.
