This year Mrs. Lawson’s first period Foods and Nutrition class carried on their annual tradition of working at the Farmer For a Day booth at the Van Buren County Fair. The class took a field trip to the fairgrounds on September 15 to teach Elementary kids from all over the county the importance of agriculture. The Foods and Nutrition class has the opportunity to show the kids how to harvest fruits and vegetables, gather eggs, fish, ride a horse, and milk a cow. The day was successful considering the kids learned about agriculture and both the class and the children had fun!
