During the 2016 Best of the Best livestock show at the Van Buren County Fair, two exhibitors that qualified were students from Clinton High School. Dakota Mooney won showmanship in Market Goats and Market Lambs and Shon Hastings won showmanship in Market Swine. This qualified them both to move on to the Best of the Best competition on Saturday Sept. 17, 2016. The winner was Dakota Mooney and his junior helper Brayden Mooney with an overall score of 18 points.
