Beta Club Makes an Appearance on KHPQ
February 14, 2018
With Beta Club National Convention coming up in June, the Clinton Beta Club is working to further the community’s awareness of this event and to gather support. The Beta Club is already doing multiple fundraisers months ahead to get ready for all of the expenses that come with Beta National Convention. There is a Yankee Candle fundraiser going on, the GIANT Teddy Bear Raffle, and soon to be another chocolate fundraiser.
To even make it to Beta National Convention, all of the students put in months of hard work to qualify at Beta State Convention. The Agri teachers were a great part in the preparation for State Convention. To show their level of support, they even helped in the making of tissue paper flowers! Mrs. Swanson-Williams and Mrs. Brown also assisted in the preparation. Brooke Bradford and Mrs. Hutchins started months early to organize a choreographed show for Beta Group Talent! All of this hard work ended up paying off. Clinton Beta had winners in the competitions of Beta Build, Spanish Division II, Agriculture Division II, Woodworking, Mixed Media, Officer Service Award, and Sculpture.
To gain the community’s support, some students spoke on KHPQ this morning! They spoke about how they qualified for National Convention, what they will do there, and the support they have had in this experience.
