Home Stretch
February 2, 2018
Well… Clinton boys’ basketball is on a downward slide, but are hoping to hit their stride heading into post season. They have lost 3 of their last 5, and head into the final stretch of their season with a 17-7 record. Clinton boys hope to finish their last two games strong, as they head into the district tournament where they expect the number one seed. Number one seeds play the 12th of February to start the district tournament. Regionals will be hosted the following week in Melbourne, state is hosted by Drew Central in Monticello the week after. Hot Springs is where you want to make it, as the state finals will be hosted the next weekend in the Convention Center.
Clinton Girls basketball is having a down year, after getting beat out by eventual state champions in regionals the year before. They have lost 3 of their last 4, the last being a blowout to state runner up the Pottsville Apaches. The girls hope to storm district as the 5-6 seed and upset a team to qualify for regionals.
