The VBC County fair will be held September 5th-10th. Before the hosting of pageants, showing of livestock, or riding of rides, much work has to be done to prepare for the week of fun.

       The Clinton FFA chapter will assist in the clean-up of the fairgrounds this coming Friday, Aug. 26th. FFA members need to bring their permission slips and a positive attitude along with their work boots. Without our FFA chapter we would not be able to have a clean, safe environment for family and friends to enjoy the week long fair. This year is the 85th annual fair for Van Buren County. VBC fair started when a group of 22 locals established the “VBC Livestock Show & Fair”. Each member pledged $2 a piece to make the starting budget of $44 back in 1937. VBC fair is one of the oldest traditions still happening in Clinton and it’s an honor to FFA chapters across the county to clean up the fairgrounds every year before fair time starts.
