The CHS Softball team heads into the regional tournament the same way they entered the district tournament, as a one seed. The Lady Jackets breezed through the district tournament behind two shutout wins. They faced Marshall in the first round defeating the Bobcats 14-0. Then moved on to sting Melbourne in the semifinals 7-3. Then the next game perhaps the most impressive yet, in the finals the Lady Jackets blasted the Valley Springs Tigers with a 14-0 blowout to bring home the championship. Kiaura Balentine and Kaitlin Kirkendoll both homered in the finals. The Lady Jackets will also play at 10 am Thursday in Manila.
