CHS Beta Competes at State and Qualifies for Nationals

The CHS Beta Club traveled to Hot Springs on January 27-28 for State Beta Convention where various competitions were held for members all across the state. 3,000 high school Beta members gathered to showcase their talents and abilities to compete for a state title to advance to Nationals which is held over the summer in Orlando, FL. Six of our Yellowjacket Beta members will travel to Disneyworld this summer to compete at the National Level. These students are as follows :
Dakota Mooney – 1st Place Officer’s Service Award Essay
Anna Knoerr – 1st Place Creative Writing
Kendra Habelitz – 1st Place Spotlight on Service Award
Gisselle Hernandez – 3rd Place Spanish I
Alondra Carrizales – 3rd Place Photography
Hunter McHam – 3rd Place Agriculture

Lots of hard work and preparation went into going to State Convention. This will continue up until it is time for Nationals. CHS was well represented once again at the state level and will be at the National level as well!
