2019 VBC Livestock & Fair Schedule of Events

The Van Buren County Fair & Livestock has been a part of Van Buren County for nearly a century. It has been a big part of the community events, education, and agriculture. It brings the community of Clinton together and spend a great time with their family.
This year, the county fair is September 16-21. Monday, September 16, from 9am to 6pm, you are able to enter your creative arts in the exhibits at the GW building. Also, at 6pm, there is a horse show halter class.
On Tuesday, September 17, there is a 6pm sheep and goat show along with the commercial building open from 4pm to 9pm. The carnival will be open from 6pm to 10pm.
Wednesday, September 18 school bus day, 9am to 5pm poultry & rabbits may arrive. From 9am to 9pm, the GW building will be open, along with 4pm to 9pm gate admissions running at $4 per person (5yrs, 4yrs and under free). The carnival will be open from 6pm to 10pm, with armbands at $20 per person. Also, at 9:15 pm, there will be a drawing for $100 with a paid gate ticket.
Thursday, September 19, it is school bus day, along with swine, dairy and beef cattle showings at 7pm. The GW building will be open from 9am to 9pm with the Arkansas Game & Fish tanks there. From 4pm to 9pm, gate admission is $4 per person (5yrs, 4yrs and under are free), and from 6pm to 10pm, the carnival will be open. Also, at 5:30 pm, there will be a youth talent show rehearsal.
Friday, September 20, the swine, dairy and beef cattle show is at 6pm, with the GW building Open from 9am-9pm as well as the commercial building open from 4pm to 9pm. The “Strut Your Mutt Contest” is at 6pm, with the Van Buren County Community Band performing later at 7pm. At 9:15 pm, there will be another raffle drawing for $100 with a paid gate ticket. There will also be a 10pm to 12 carnival midnight madness special.
Saturday, September 21, the Livestock Premium Auction is at 10am. Cookie jars will also be auctioned for local scholarships by the VBC Fair to county high school seniors. At 11:30am, herdsman awards will be presented. At 4pm to 9pm, the commercial building will be open. The poultry auction will be at 12pm, with the carnival starting at 2pm to 10pm. At 5pm, the Best of the Best Showmanship contest will be held at the livestock arena. The youth talent contest will be held at the GW building starting at 6:30 pm, plus more cookie jars auctions. At 8pm, the livestock will be released, and at 9:15pm, another drawing will be held for $100 with a paid gate ticket.
Lastly, on Sunday, September 22, pick up starts for the creative art exhibits in GW building at 1pm to 3pm.
