3A Update- State Championship

Booneville dominated Osceola on all sides of the football at the State Championship. Booneville Bearcats fans left the game content Saturday as they saw their football team rout the host Osceola Seminoles, 35-0 in a non-league test. With the triumph, Booneville improves its record to 17-0 on the campaign. With the loss, Osceola drops to 13-2 on the campaign. Game MVP Carson Ray, rushed all over the Seminoles for 165 yards. This was Booneville’s fourth state title in school history.

Booneville opened the season No. 1 in Hooten’s Arkansas Football, while Osceola started at No. 11. Prescott, debuted at No. 4 in June, finishes at No. 2 after absorbing two losses this season by a combined four points, including a three-point semifinal setback at Booneville. Rison opened 2018 at No. 13, but finishes at No. 4. Smackover settles at No. 5 after starting the year at No. 17.
