Around the State in 3A Football

Clinton starts its season off 3-0 and has won 15 of their last 16 games. Harding Academy on the other hand is 2-1, with a tight loss to Bald Knob in Week 2. Harding’s heavy pass, spread offense, will be a competition for the Jackets. The past two weeks the Yellow Jackets have rolled Conway Christian, a 2-A state contender 55-21, and CAC, a very quick football team 48-28. The #2 Jackets are more than ready to take on the Wildcats this upcoming Friday night. This game has been chosen as Hooten’s 3A Game of the Week.  

Prescott is 3-0 for the third straight year. Last week, the Curley Wolves led Class 5A Hope 20-0 in the first quarter and 34-0 in the second half in a 46-13 victory. The Fouke Panthers come into this week hungry for a win. After being shut out two weeks in a row. The Panthers only hold 184 yards for the first three games.

Number one Booneville is starting their season 3-0. The Bearcats have forced 12 turnovers in its 3-0 start this season. Paris is 0-3 for the first time in 12 years and has been outscored by opponents 122-47 in it’s past 3 games.
