Clinton Lady Jackets are now on a four game winning streak!!! After a somewhat rocky start to the season, they have had a complete 360 this past week. Both senior high boys and girls teams participated in the St. Joseph Classic in Conway this past week. Tuesday the girls faced England in the first round of the tournament coming out with a win 62-46. Thursday they headed back to Conway to beat Fountain Lake out of a chance to play for first 56-42. Friday, the senior high girls and boys went to Dover for a regular season game winning 61-38. Saturday, the girls headed back out to Conway to face Perryville in a nailbiter winning 51-48 after a nice comeback being down in the first quarter. These girls were exhausted after three games on the road, but were still able to pull out a win Saturday night. This is the second year in a row the girls are St. Joseph Classic champions.

Brittany Shannon, a senior captain on the Clinton Lady Jacket basketball team stepped aside so I could ask her a few questions. When asked how she felt after a four game winning streak she replied, “It is a huge confidence booster after starting the season pretty rough, this week was a huge turn around.”

Hallie Treece, a CHS cheerleader, attended the championship Saturday night in Conway. “I thought our girls played amazing, and showed everyone what this season is going to look like.”
